Christmas Yule Log

What could be more Christmasy than a Yule Log? Here is a snowy yule log complete with meringue mushrooms. It is a fluffy white sponge with a cherry compote filling. Y U M! I absolutely love how the mushrooms turned out. My husband is also very happy that I had meringues left over.

Miniature Tea Party

What little girl doesn't love a tea party? The only thing better would be a tea party on a cake!! Everything is cuter when its miniaturized, I just love this cake with all the little fondant details.

Halloween Time

It's Halloween time! Who out there loves candy corn? I have a confession, I actually hate how they taste, but love how they look. So I'll eat a cake that looks like a candy corn instead. Covered in a black drip with a white chocolate BOO on top, I'd say this cake is perfect for any Halloween party.

Yummy S'mores Cupcakes

S'mores anyone? What says summer more than S'mores? When you can't make it out to the campfire here are some S'mores cupcakes. Let me tell you these are delicious!! Milk chocolate cake with a marshmallow filling, topped with chocolate mousse, surrounded by gram cracker crumbs, with toasted marshmallow and dark chocolate. That was a mouthful in more ways then one.

Mermaid Party

My daughter is obsessed with mermaids (isn't every little girl??). So when her birthday rolled around she wanted a mermaid party. I started talking about the cake and she said, "I don't want a cake." My heart dropped, this is was I do - I make cakes! Then she said she wanted petit fours, macarons, and cupcakes (I kinda had to convince her to have cupcakes haha, but not all little kids have such refined palates as her).
Everything was a big hit and looked adorable! But the work!! I have made all of these before; many times, but doing them all at once along with planing and decoration for her party - lets just say I wont be doing that again. But you only turn 5 once.

Graduation Cake and Cupcakes

It's that time of year. High School and College graduations are happening all over the country This is a cake I made last year at this time. I love how it turned out! I made the graduation cap out of rice crispies. It is simple and clean and perfect for a celebration.
I love doing cupcakes, especially for big parties. They make it easy on the host - no cake cutting! Plus, they are really fun to decorate and always look so cute.

Mother's Day Cake

Don't like fondant? This cake has a yummy raspberry mousse frosting along with buttercream flowers and greenery. So pretty! I love the new trend of flower bouquets on cakes, it looks so elegant! This way Mom gets her flowers and cake all in one. Happy Mother's Day!

Happy Easter

Bunny ears on a cake = adorable. For everyone out there that doesn't want fondant on your cake, here you go. I made these cute bunny ears out of white chocolate, coconut, and sprinkles. Ombre, buttercream swirl roses on the cake make it look very springy.

Happy Easter everyone!

Rugby Time

I enjoy doing dress shirts or uniform cakes, I just really like how they look. This was my first time making a Rugby jersey. The ball was a little tricky, not quite a football shape, but I think I nailed it. The customer was over the moon for the cake so that's all that matters!

Ninjago - The Green Ninja

What little boy doesn't dream of being a ninja? Plus, to be the green ninja from Ninjago, even better! How fun is this cake?? A ninja belt, rope, bamboo, and throwing stars, it doesn't get any better. Oh wait, make it a Lego guy and it just got better!

Gold Glitter

Maybe you are having other deserts at you wedding, but still want to do the traditional cake cutting (because it's so fun to have everyone watch you feed each other). Having a small tiered cake is the perfect option! They look adorable and so elegant. Plus the top tier is the perfect size to save for your first anniversary.
I loved making this beautiful cake. It is painted with gold edible glitter! And the color combination is so pretty.
