Little Woodland Creatures
I love how this cake turned out. Yes it was very time consuming making all the little characters, trees, banner, etc. for the cake. But the finished product made it all worth it.
I LOVE little foxes! This is the smash cake, yes it was a first birthday cake. Really, you might as well go big for the first birthday!
Adorable!!
P.S. In this picture the smash cake looks much bigger than it really was. It was only a 4 inch cake.

Unicorn Birthday Cake
One of the cutest little girls I know (one of my daughters) turned 4 last month and wanted to have a pink, purple, and gold unicorn cake. I have see the adorable unicorn cakes out there and couldn't wait to try it out. Here's what I came up with.
The horn, ears and eyes are made out of fondant with editable glitter on it. Everything else is buttercream. Simple, adorable, and perfect for a little girl birthday.

Baseball Uniform - Let's Play Ball
Baseball season is here! I had never made a baseball cap before, but it was pretty simple. I blew up a balloon the size I wanted for the cap, then cut the fondant to fit and put on the details. Doing the bill was just a matter of cutting it to fit the hat. I could have left it flat against the cake, but I wanted to give the cake more depth. It matches pretty perfectly if I do say so myself.

A Hawaiian Wedding Cake
Can I just say that I love how this cake turned out! I love fresh flowers on cakes. I was a little worried about the orchids making it through the wedding reception, but they still looked beautiful. This cake was for a Hawaiian themed wedding. It was very laid back, but elegant. I love the bright colors of the flowers. I had many people comment to me that the bamboo looked real. I made the bamboo out of ivory colored fondant and then dusted them to give shading and depth. It actually went pretty fast once I got going.

Olaf Cake!
Who doesn't love Olaf?! This was a fun cake to make and not as labor intensive as you might think. I made Olaf a couple days ahead of time so that he had time to dry. The 3 and some of the snowflake backgrounds are out of fondant were also made a head of time and dried. I piped all the white snowflakes out of royal icing and let them dry. So, actually putting the cake together was very fast, because basically everything was done and just needed to be placed. I think it turned out adorable and love it.
I also made corresponding cupcakes. I love how they tuned out. The snowflakes looks very delicate on a cupcake.
